Aquatic Adventurers for the Sea Seekers

Mana Island offers a wide range of marine activities for the traveler who has come to spend his Fiji holiday in the water as much as on land.  Hosted by friendly and experienced Mana Island staff, there is certainly an activity to suit your speed.

Scuba Diving
This is one of Mana Island’s most popular activities because the magical grandeur of the hidden underwater world of the island is astonishing.  The dive sites are world class and world renowned for their coral reefs and luminous ocean life.

Mana Island is home to Aqua Trek Mana (“a PADI Gold Palm Resort dive operation”) that offers a full range of PADI Diving Course so everyone – from novice to seasoned diver – can enjoy the other half of the island – the underwater half!  Discover Scuba Diving is also available for the newest explorers so that maiden dives are supervised and safe.

Check out the various dive sites you can explore:

  • Barrel Head – steep walls and extensions define this amazing coral reef that is home to both hard and soft coral
  • Gotham City – named for its primary resident – “batfish”
  • The Supermarket – for the very bold, this is where you can encounter a shark!

Non-Motorized Ocean Activities

In addition to swimming, Mana Island offers some more relaxed water activities for those looking to quietly explore the oceans or simply laze around in and on them!  The Boat Bure on South Beach provides guests with gear for all of the following activities as well as life jackets.  There is also always a rescue boat manned and in the water for the ultimate in comfort for your personal safety.

  • Snorkeling
  • Windsurfing
  • Hobbie cats
  • Reef spy-boards
  • 1 & 2 person kayaks
